The Rusty Nail

Before the Rusty Nail became the signature drink of the Rat Pack, it made its debut at the British Industries Fair in the 1930s. From there, it spread to bars across the country, from New Orleans to New York City, eventually finding a home at the 21 Club, a favorite haunt of the Rat Pack.
Sadly, the Rusty Nail has lost some of its popularity compared to other classic cocktails, such as the Old Fashioned. One reason for this decline is that many bars no longer stock Drambuie. However, if you're determined to enjoy Frank Sinatra's beloved cocktail, you can easily make it at home.
To prepare a Rusty Nail, mix whiskey and Drambuie with some ice. Stir the mixture until it's chilled. Before straining it into a glass, twist a lemon peel over the rim; then pour in the mixture and drop the lemon peel into the drink.
