How to freeze frosting

The primary advantage of freezing leftover frosting is its longevity. Typically, frosting stored in the freezer can remain good for about three months without any decline in quality. While it can be kept beyond this three-month period, its flavor and texture may begin to deteriorate.
When freezing frosting, it’s crucial to keep it away from strong-smelling foods, as these odors can compromise the frosting's quality. Using an airtight container is essential to maintain the frosting's freshness for as long as possible.
Both plastic and glass containers are suitable for freezer storage, provided they are freezer-safe to prevent cracking and protect the frosting. To use the leftover frosting, simply transfer the container to the refrigerator for a night. After 24 hours, the frosting will be ready to easily spread on your baked goods.
