Online vs. in-store purchases

If you weren't already aware, prices at Costco warehouses (in-store prices) often differ from those online (shopping in-store can be beneficial as prices are usually lower). Regarding Costco's price adjustment policy, keep in mind that if you buy an item online through Costco.com, you cannot request a price adjustment for the warehouse price. This is partly because online purchases tend to be more expensive due to shipping and handling fees.
If you purchase an item online and see that the price has dropped within 30 days, it's quite simple to request a price adjustment using an online form (you'll need to log in first). Once you submit the form, if your request is approved, the credit will be applied to your original payment method within 5 to 10 business days. You can also request an adjustment through the virtual chat feature on the Costco app.
Costco's return and price adjustment policies are quite generous, but they do have limitations and may even terminate memberships due to excessive returns. While there isn't a strict rule on limiting price adjustments, Costco's policy states on its website, "We reserve the right to deny price adjustments at our sole discretion."
