Cleaning your oven door with baking soda is super easy

While commercial oven cleaners may be necessary in certain extreme situations, developing a routine of regularly cleaning your oven door with baking soda should suffice. Fortunately, using baking soda for oven cleaning is significantly simpler than relying on harsh chemical cleaners, many of which can irritate the skin, eyes, and lungs.
To clean with baking soda, mix about half a cup of baking soda with a couple of tablespoons of water to form a thick paste. This paste can be spread over the grime on your oven door. After applying the paste, allow it to sit for 20 to 30 minutes so the alkaline properties of the baking soda can break down the acidic grease. You can also use this baking soda mixture on other neglected areas of your oven. Once the paste has had enough time to work, simply wipe it away with a damp cloth.
If any residue remains, a plastic scraper can help lift it off, and you can apply more paste if necessary. For particularly stubborn, baked-on messes, you may need to repeat the process a few times and put in some extra effort, but the results will be a beautifully clean oven!
