Fuji and Ambrosia apples are naturally sweeter, which can enhance the sweetness of the juice without the need for added sugar. Honeycrisp and Red Delicious apples have a slightly tart flavor, but Red Delicious apples are easier to strain due to their softer texture. No matter which type of apple you choose, three medium-sized apples will yield approximately 1 cup of juice.
All apples, regardless of their variety, should be peeled and cored before juicing, and it's best to cut them into smaller pieces to facilitate the juicing process. If you're using a blender, keep in mind that you'll need to strain the juice to eliminate any remaining pulp, whereas a juicer will take care of that step for you.
