Storing methods for radishes

The simplest method for keeping radishes fresh for an extended period is to wrap them in a damp paper towel and place them inside a bag before storing them in the refrigerator. Make sure to expel as much air as possible from the bag. Using this technique, radishes can remain fresh for up to two weeks.
Another effective way to store radishes in the fridge involves soaking them in water. While this method is less convenient due to the space a bowl occupies, it can also preserve radishes for up to two weeks. To do this, simply detach any greens from the radishes, place them in a bowl, and cover them with cold water.
Lastly, radishes can be frozen, but keep in mind that thawed radishes will have a slightly altered texture compared to fresh ones. To freeze radishes, cut them into cubes, blanch them briefly, and then immerse them in an ice bath to cool. After drying the cubes, transfer them to a freezer-safe bag and store them in the freezer for up to six months.
