Are all Corona beers the same?

It can sometimes be challenging to distinguish between standard domestic beers and smaller craft varieties, as they often share similar characteristics. This concept also applies when exploring a specific brand like Corona. Generally, Corona products fall under the broad category of "Mexican lager," yet the brand offers a range of variations on its popular beer.
Since its launch in 1925, Corona's flagship product has been its classic Mexican lager, now known as Corona Extra. Today, the company produces several versions of this traditional lager, including Corona Light (a lower-calorie, lower ABV option introduced in the 1980s), Corona Premier (a 90-calorie, 2.6-carb beer), and Corona Familiar (which features a fuller flavor profile and a slightly higher ABV). Additionally, there is a non-alcoholic version of Corona. All these variations share fruity notes, with the exception of Corona Familiar, which leans towards a maltier flavor.
Beyond these offerings, Corona has also created Corona Sunbrew, a fruitier beer infused with orange and lime, perfect for pairing with grilled summer dishes. The brand has ventured into the hard seltzer market as well, introducing four flavors of traditional hard seltzer and four unique "seltzeritas," which are hard seltzers inspired by margaritas. If those options don't appeal to you, there are also several flavors of Corona Refresca hard punch to try. Since its beginnings as a beer-only brand, Corona has evolved significantly, and it’s no wonder that its iconic crown logo is so widely recognized today.
